I have a few counseling clients who are experiencing burnout, resentment, financial stress, and feeling trapped. These are a few tips I share with them to help release and manage their stress:
1.Identify Where You Have Power.
2.Take Action Where You Have Power.
3. Don’t be afraid to delegate and ask for help. Pride and shame will keep you overloaded.
4. Release and accept anything which you don’t have power and control.6. Seek support from counseling to help you understand and overcome your emotional triggers of guilt, anger, shame, resentment, or feeling manipulated and used.
5. Establish a practice of your own self-care…no matter how long each day. Pray and laugh about something every day. Prayer and humor are healthy for your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
6. Make gratitude a daily habit.
